In our 40’s the skin is thinner, barrier lipids aren’t as pronounced and dehydration can be an issue. More prominent signs of skin aging may also appear, such as dark spots and dullness.
In our 50’s the protective barrier lessens, leading to less efficiency in retaining moisture and more potential for sensitivity and dehydration. Skin shows wrinkles, fine lines and pigmentation.
60+ the skin is much thinner and has less volume, which causes the skin to sage. It’s also prone to free radical damage which ages the skin more rapidly.
